The all-new Mazda 3 has been officially unveiled, revealing the design and first specification and performance details of the popular small car.
The third-generation Mazda 3 was initially revealed in Melbourne on Wednesday ahead of similar launch events in Istanbul, St Petersburg, London and finally New York early on Thursday morning.
Mazda says its new 3 has been redesigned from the ground up, evolving the Kodo design language already seen on the CX-5 and Mazda 6 as well as employing a full suite of fuel-saving Skyactiv technologies.

An image revealing a rear-three-quarter view of the all-new Mazda 3 has appeared online less than one week out from the car’s official unveiling.
The image, first published by Russian website News Auto, gives us an undisguised rear three-quarter-angle look at the third-generation Mazda 3 hatchback.
The vehicle in the photograph appears largely identical to the blue car that appeared in the leaked pages of a Japanese automotive magazine earlier this month (below), giving us a good idea of what to expect from Mazda’s new small car when it is revealed on June 27.
