Ikstej24
Well I figured it was time to put up some pictures of the Tahoe. So far I have only done limited modifications. I installed my Alpine 9813, and made it still work with the factory steering wheel controls/door chimes. I also got the front windows tinted and added my Escort radar detector. 5.3L Vortec V8 Alpine and Escort '03 Tahoe One of the mountain bikes racked up inside (Worth its weight in gold) New Single Speed Frame (Technically another ride)

///BHRpowered
I have been eying the tahoe on and off as a bigger work only car.
Ikstej24
It actually rides a lot better than I thought it would. The '07 rides just a little bit better but not by much.
MilleniaOn18s
they make a hard-wire kit for that escort. i have it myself. so that way, you can run the wire up the A pillar and put the radar in the upper left corner of the windshield. makes it not so obvious and may even save u from getting pulled over. cops around this area are usually fairly lenient if you dont have a radar detector. if you do, they will pull you over for 5 over.. its gay. but yea, the hard-wire kit is nice. plus it looks alot cleaner. i can take pics if you want to see what it *may* look like. u can get the kit from tweeter or cartoys. Ikstej24
I had it hardwired in the Millenia and located above the rear view mirror. Do you still get good rear detection with it in the corner like that?
MilleniaOn18s
i have had it up there for a long while now. and i had it on the windshield (like in ur Z) and i havent noticed a different. Mine is also behind a strip of 5% limo. I have it tinted up there. I like to put it there because its not seen from the outside and i dont have to take it down when i park my car. which i did before. its a 350 dollar piece of equipment, so u can bet that i hid it. now, i dont worry about it. and since there isnt any kind of wire hanging, its not seen. the kit is about 25 bucks and its got long wires. comes with a mute button that u can put somewhere (like with velcro on top of your steering wheel cover where the hazard lights button is). and if you get pulled over, u can disconnect it really quick, push the wire behind the headlines, throw the radar detector in the back, and BAM,you dont have a radar detector anymore LOL. i can take pics if u want. ///BHRpowered
been looking around for maybe an 07 tahoe, avalanche, or maybe even h2 if I have to start hauling more on a more common basis
MazdaMomma
I would forego the h2

///BHRpowered
hell no if I need space the h2 is a good option, I would however lift it and make it a respectable hummer
AngelOfDeath
I like the tahoe! My dad has a trailblazer and like it.
Ikstej24
The H2 is just a Tahoe with a different body on it. Personally I don't like the look of them at all.
AngelOfDeath
I agree with you about the H2 ...too ungly for me. If I was to get a hummer it will be a H1 - orginal
MazdaMomma
damn straight. but wouldn't waste my money on them. a girl backed into one at the local high school and the damn bumper of the hummer fell off. not much damage to her car, but tons to the hummer
MilleniaOn18s
H2 is a joke. H3 is a downright embarassment to GM. The H1 is the only un-pussyfied Hummer.
