ing-schu@online.no
psh, fuck health, and frankly, you couldn't walk to some of the places we went, either because of the rocks, or depth of the water, maybe walk around through posion ivy and torn bushes, but thats boring and would take forever Sounds like part of the challenge either you walk or drive. Our government has been wise enough to forbid outback driving. We walk and enjoy the silence.
///BHRpowered
the hell do you mean forbid it, its an entire sport and event all in itself, the goal is to go places you can't go on foot, for example, crossing a 2-3-4ft deep running river or creek, is not some a hiker can or will do
ing-schu@online.no
It has been forbidden as long as both I and my parents can remember I guess. And it shouldn't come as a surprice that a human being can come much further without a car. Have you ever heard of Mount Everest?

///BHRpowered
and seriously xedos, thats not the way it works, there are places where YES you could hike to them, but it would take hours, if not days, not to mention massive hords of supplies, experiance, and will power. whereas you can take part in a SPORT, load up whatever you need, and be there in a few hours. The point is not to get somewhere, its to get there by offroading
ing-schu@online.no
The journey is the goal while mountain walking too. And you pack no more than you can carry on your back. Takes some skill, yes. And experience. Because you don't want to carry much more than 40 pounds on your back to enjoy the trip. Balance of comfort versus strain. But there is always room for aquavit. And maybe one b*e*e*r
///BHRpowered
see thats something different. offroading is a sport, just like football/soccer or tennis or basketball

///BHRpowered
*sigh* I'm not debating the walking around malls, or stairs, or mail. That I totally agree with you on, but offroading is its own sport, yoiu do it for the pleasure of the drive and being able to conquer the wildness, and if you want to go camping, you can bring alot more in a car then anyone could ever carry. and lets face it, there are plenty of sports where the players are not "athletes"
ing-schu@online.no
I'm foreign remember. I believed an athlet is a person who performs some sport. Like say, offroading. I'm no athlet but I do enjoy mountain walking.
