Expected to hit the market in 2008, the Mazda2 MPS will be powered by a 2.0 liter DISI, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine producing 230 horsepower. The engine will be matted with a six-speed transmission. Expect it to show up at the Tokyo Auto Show. No info on whether it’ll show up in US. The Mazda2 will come in three gasoline engines including a two 1.3 liter producing 75 HP and 84 horsepower and a 1.5-liter with an producing 103 horsepower Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Troutman Posted November 22, 2007 Report Share Posted November 22, 2007 The Mazda2 MPS is expected to have over 160kWs of power and sprint from 0-100km/hr in around 6 and abit seconds. The Mazda2 MPS will ride on 17″ alloys while power goes through the front wheels coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. Given its FWD setup, Mazda are likely to include a limited slip differential (LSD), traction and dynamic stability control as standard.
