enginph
And vastly unnecessary in a street engine. Just as 3k oilchanges. What a vaste. 3k miles is necessary with the cheapest synthetic oil (supertech) in MCE. I will extend to 5k miles with M1 and large napa filter. Hey guy where do you exactly put the jack stands in the front for an oil change?
ing-schu@online.no
I don't jack the car, just drive the front wheels up on 5 inch wood blocks for my 9k Magnatec oilchanges.

latinopikachu
there are jacking points right behind the wheel, you know the seam where the front door opens? there's a little "lip" that catches the factory jack

Other than those lips the metal is weak.
SteveSter
I just jack as far fowad on the car as possible on those "pinch welds" then put the jack stands right behind it and then do the same on the other side. Oh and I always put a wheel blocks on the rear wheels.
ing-schu@online.no
Surely the Good Xedie was talking kms and not miles. Nope. 15k km. I've concidered 10k km, but as long as my HLAs are silent I'm confident 15k is ok.

ing-schu@online.no
When I use a hydraulic jack up front, I put it under the front end of the slightly offset subframe steeltube.
enginph
Ok i changed the oil. I put the jack stand around the pinch points. The thing is that vertical metal piece there is bent because of the stands contact point being flat. So i seriously need a picture or a simpler description. Can anybody describe from the photo i posted? As for the oil, I dumped the whole 5 qts. in and it still needs more! That napa filter takes a quart or so. And i had to put more oil after the first synthetic oil change, i dont know why.
