Frankzao
So yea or nay to Laser Platinum/Iridiums?
SteveSter
Yes to Laser Platinum cause they are OEM (double platinum). No to G Power if you want to stay OEM. NO WAY to iridiums, they have fried most of the coils of another member of the other world. NGK just wants to sell you whatever, if you want to check for yourself call your Mazda dealer and ask them for the OEM Millenia S spark plugs and they will tell you they are NGK Laser Platinums. enginph
Two of my coils burnt couple months after Iridiums. Then they settled, nothing for 2 years. I think I have the correct gap. No way I would use iridium crap again though. I would prefer not to buy NGK products for that matter.

SteveSter
No G power are platinums but I guess you could call them single platinums. Laser are double.
mts
I ran the last set of Gs for nearly 1 year.... not too bad. But then again I change plugs before they need. It was a wonderful 5 hours in the driveway on Saturday. Millenia parts scattered all over the driveway. Changed the plugs, fixed the shifter linkage, re-wired my HIDs, cleaned K&N, re-did a couple vac hoses....

MURRAYBRYSON786
I would guess its related to something else, not a problem on its on a problem like what? i did get a new S/C and was wondering if it is pushing enough boost (the 6 at idle and the 14 at full throttle, thats right right?) i was thinking about getting a boost gauge to test that. what do you think? ///BHRpowered
a s/c wouldn't cause an electrical communcations error 7psi in first, 14 in other gears, BUT I'm not sure its the boost thats the problem, its more the leaking, if yours is smoking badly then it would be leaking. In my experience the s/c has very poor boost at startup, people who push the car to "normal" driving before everything is warmed up are the onces who get all the problems
