K&n Cone Filter

I'm actually not 100% sure which one I have on the car. I have a K&N and a generic one. No idea what the part number is but this will only work for the CAI, its actually kind of a small filter and more of a cylinder then a cone. I remember there was no difference in power or sound except maybe the generic was a tad bit higher pitched.

Hell, if you want it you can have it, 30 bucks.

I don't see how the shape makes any difference.

I have it on mine and the MAF is perfectly fine.

fyi, it might be an "O" instead of zero.

Its not angled, its not a cone, just a cylinder shape, actually kind of small. The MAF sensors job is to find out how much air is coming in and adjust accordingly, more air just means it should read more. Size of the filter shouldn't be an issue

MAF reads the air in the middle of the pipe. If the air flow is swirling the air flow in the middle and around the sides may be different. Then MAF will read wrong and either it will be so terrible that it wouldnt even idle properly or your fuel consumption will go high with unburned fuel which also damages the cats.

By angled I mean:

How much did you use it?

Well...considering chitown came out with the intake just after MWM08 which was august, then I drove the car only a few times more in 2008, 2009 I did around 680 miles, and have yet to drive it in 2010, AND for part of 2009 I didn't even have it on?

I'd say it has at most 500 miles on it, 500 miles of being in my millenia which means no bad weather, no dusty conditions, no dirt roads etc.

Brand new is what I'm getting at.

I'm not sure which filter I want to keep though, the smaller k&n or the slightly larger generic.

Which one are you keeping?
