well, a resonator won't make a huge difference, but none equals more power.

 

Look at it this way, its much cheaper and easier to just have a single piece of pipe bent and installed - then if you don't like it cut out a section and insert one. Cheaper and easier then having an exhaust shop weld 2 pipes together and the res then remove later and reweld new piece in

It would be possible to build your own, you'll simply need a 3" pipe, 1 90 degree coupler, about 12 or 15" of pipe then an 90' bend.

 

All you need to do is drill a hole in the pipe, can't remember what size but just go and buy the proper size drill bit and your good to go. You could easily do it since all the engineering has been done.
