Obamacare And Healthcare Premiums

Since the first "wave" of ObamaCare will start to take place on our medical plans effective January 1st, 2011, many companies are starting to publish their premiums. Yes, premiums are rising once again this coming year. This time though, there are going to be some surprises as the increases might be larger than the past several years. Somewhere in the range of 10 - 25% is what I'm starting to see.

Don't you just love it?

Look, I'm a conservative. I don't really have a church affiliation - you'd probably be able to classify me as agnostic. However, I'm not stupid. It will be interesting to see how many Democrats step up to vote for their party that they're so loyal to even though ObamaCare is going to be raping their wallets in the coming year.

What a funny story, BHR was right, as usual.

I'm right because I sit and look at the facts, because beyond the millenia I have no loyality to anyone or anything, atheist etc.

Not to mention its a huge step towards socialism and the longer it goes on the harder it will be to get rid of. Bush tried to privatize Social security, something that was suppose to be temporay in the first place and couldn't get it done.

Wait until your taxes double, due to Bush's War and your broke ass dollar ;)

You know, there's one thing I adore about America. We're not afraid to kick some ass when it comes to crap in other countries. It certainly beats turning the blind eye and ignoring a situation.

Read up a bit on Mark Steyn. The next country to go down the crapper will be Europe and the issues it will face with Islam.

Edit: It wasn't Bush that made our budget deficit swell to $13+ Trillion dollars. It was Obama's programs to revive our economy that failed ... even after investing mega-bucks into many areas, like: the Homebuyer's credit, the Cash for Clunkers program and many other failed Government programs. I guess if we see our taxes double with a broke-ass dollar and several socialized programs sponsored by the Government, that about puts us on par with Canada, right?

Riiiight..... it's OK continue on plodding in Bushland

And yes you think you are nearing perfection with Canada ;) What will the Yanks do when the world stops hating them? Oh wait, The US's own arrogance and ignorance will forever prevent that.

How does Canada have perfection? What's the combined GST & PST rates? 15%? 16%? Plus, their income taxes are horrendous compared to the U.S. Plus, they don't have much of a military to speak of.

How's your banking and foreclosure rates? Stupendous I see.

Funny though, whenever the US Navy needs a command platform for a NATO operation, it is a Canadian vessel. Yeah y'all have the toys, but not many have the IQ to use them.

I would rather pay some taxes than be hated around the world. AT least I can proudly fly my flag around the world without being afraid. And don't worry, thanks to many years over corruption at the top of the government in the US .... your taxes will exceed ours.

What would life be without risks? Sure, if we didn't take risks like the Canadians, we'd have lower foreclosure rates, probably less bank failures and be liked by the rest of the world. However, I don't think being liked by the rest of the world is our priority right now.

Just because Canada is "liked" by the world right now doesn't pre-empt them from a terrorist strike. It could happen at any time. Isn't England also liked? They're attacked by terrorists.

Now, back to keeping this thread on topic. You're the one who took it off topic by bringing up Bush's war and our "broke-ass" dollar. We're discussing the increase in medical premium rates because of ObamaCare. I don't expect to resolve all of the issues of the U.S. in this thread. However, I would like to keep it on topic and related to health care premium increases that are hurting many of us in the U.S. at the moment and in the coming year.

Thank you.

How long have you been here? My original post wasn't even aimed your way... but you will learn over time.

Enjoy your health care though, and enjoy your taxes. I will enjoy our stronger dollar, as it lets me buy EVERYTHING in the US on sale, including foreclosed housing. Which I will rent out to broke-ass Americans ;)
