Renboy
So going through and cleaning parts from the garage (so much shit) I stumbled upon something I thought I already knew, but never confirmed. This modification is for those that really want to get their milly s moving. I'll let the pictures tell the story: Do you see what I'm talking about? No? How about now? Still not yet, I really have to spell it out for some of you? That's right, KL cams fit into a KJ head. I'd say a $50 trip to the scrapyard could bring the power of the milly from it's 210hp, to +280hp. It would no longer be a MillerCycle, but really, when you tear the doors off every other milly, will you really care? How you bitches like them apples? Renboy
Not to mention, this could also increase the reliability of the s/c, since it's no longer a MCE.
mts
Something may have to be done though to change the ABV settings...
Renboy
Why? Anyone want to donate their milly for an 'experiment'?

enginph
Hmm. I wonder what would ECU think after this conversion. I mean idle, ABV, s/c vent and maybe tranny may boggle? And how do you guarantee no knock with higher boost? I dont wanna make a stupid guess for MCE. What is it? Could get more boost then

latinopikachu
MCE = Miller cycle engine i could not live with myself for making the millenia simply a supercharged L
enginph
Oh bedtime for me. Who cares about MCE if you ll have 280hp. Tranny would be ok but need lsd? Frankzao
I actually agree with LAT Interesting NDD You think 280 HP?
adz89
Would this reduce the life of the tranny or other engine components? Still 280hp sounds nice!
Renboy
I would definitely invest in a tranny cooler.
excluesiveonez
yo ren... so do we need an L or an S to do this mod? once i get my millenia again i will do this experiment...
latinopikachu
he said specifically an S.
Renboy
Take the camshafts out of an 'L', and put them in an 'S'. You therefore end up with a well boosted otto-cycle engine. With an intake and headers, I say 280 is pretty conservative.
enginph
If it works you should definitely get the "cheapest yet the most effective engine mod" award.. Very smart

Renboy
If you want to take this a step further, colt cams (in Ontario) can regrind camshafts to optimum boost specs, even further enhancing the effect. I believe the service cost ~$400. It's no where near the $0.50/hp these cams alone may produce, but for the pony pinchers it may be worth it. Assuming this works of course. enginph
My basic concern is whether it would deliver correct amount of fuel into the combustion chamber.
Renboy
Worst case scenario, afpr. The injectors can handle the load, that I'm sure of.
