mts Posted October 11, 2006 Report Share Posted October 11, 2006 Saleen Builds The Last Ford GT By Seisser, James Published: September 24, 2006 (Troy, Michigan) - Ford's Fred Goodnow (left), SVT Design Engineering Manager for the Ford GT shakes hands with Mike Zielinkski (right), Ford GT Assembly Manager for Saleen Special Vehicles in front of the last Ford GT to come off the line at Saleen's Troy, Michigan facility. The last production Ford GT, a red and white unit headed for Canada is the 2011th and final GT built for the 2006 model year and closes out the Ford GT program. Combined with the 2005 production of 2,027 units, a total of 4,038 Ford GT vehicles were built. Next stop for this red and white Canadian rocket (VIN 1FAFP90596Y402045) is Ford's Wixom, Michigan Assembly Plant where it receive its drivetrain and final touches.
