Troutman
Well, only a few basic pics so far. Hope to have the car properly serviced etc this week, starting with new tyres tomorrow.

Troutman
Thank you sir, and I will honour that request within a week or so. The Caprice will be moved into its new home before the cock has crowed thrice.
Troutman
Wow, a week is a long time in this hemisphere. The car has new plates and today got a MAFless dyno tune with cold air intake. At some stage, I would like to retrofit the flex-fuel system of the newer model. That equates to 310 horsepower at the wheels. An honest effort for a basically stock car. Compared to my '99 Holden, the gain was smaller in percentage terms, but on the other hand the 6.0 L98 developed more power stock compared to the MAF-tuned '99 (approx 211 vs 192 rwkW). With the intake, the Caprice's engine note at higher revs is noticably more hard-edged, too. I've bought a motorcycle helmet off eBay and plan to do my first ever quarter mile run at a Heathcote Test & Tune possibly late this month. If I can achieve a high 13 I'll be more than satisfied. Cheers.

Troutman
Standard fitting Milord. If you go back to the '70s, vehicles in this often chauffeur-driven class had cigarette lighters and such for rear passengers.

Troutman
Now just a few more pics and then I'm all up to date. Engine bay with cold air intake and stupid plastic 'turtle shell' thing removed. These LED parkers used to be on my Eunos 500 all those years ago. Just prior to my first-ever run. My last run. AngelOfDeath
love the look of it! Gonna mod it some more?
Troutman
Cheers. Have to get onto a few little things like suspension bushes. In the future I'd love to do a supercharger like the VXR8 Bathurst but that would be VERY expensive to do properly. Best to either do it properly or not at all. Frankzao
THe 1999 looks like a milly..... What's the car behind the Holden in post #4?
Troutman
The silver car is just that, my '99 Holden which I sold to a friend. I always felt they were inspired by the Eunies styling-wise. The '05 Pontiac GTO was another variation of this model exported to the US.
