///BHRpowered
So I'm driving to CT for court and at like 4am when there is noone around and no rest stops for miles my jeep starts acting funny, it would lose power for a split second, but it felt more like it was just dropping out of 4th gear for some reason, CEL came on a few minutes later and I have pulled the following codes 0202 0204 0207 0208 my booklet doesn't list 0202, but all the others are "Injector circuit malfunction" for cylinders 4,7,8, and I'm going to guess 2. Anyone have any clue what the hell this means or a possible fix. Thanks
MazdaMomma
Have you posted the same question at JF?
///BHRpowered
Umm, I was banned form JF, I did PM 2 people there and have a thread at JeepsUnlimited, but damn it, no ones awake, AND WHY THE FUCK DO I STILL HAVE THIS TIE ON
MazdaMomma
take the tie off.
///BHRpowered
I did, and I await ren since those jackasses at JU would rather spend hours talking about rims and debating rice lights then actually problems
ing-schu@online.no
I am not going to rub it in, just wanted to remind you about my reliability thread Oh, and remember to take off the tie before flipping the hood, it might be caught by a belt
///BHRpowered
first of all, its my first problem, at nearly 90k, and it could very well my own fault from a combination of recent mods, wiring, and heavy towing.
Renboy
If you have a mechanics stethescope do this: start car touch end of stethescope to each of the injectors, they should be clicking with speed of engine. Any injector that isn't clicking is either damaged or not receiving a signal, or is not grounded properly. If you don't have a mechanics stethescope: Go buy a mechanics stethescope for $10 and follow previous instructions then post back.
///BHRpowered
some JU guys are saying a ground fault somewhere since its from cylinders on both banks, all at once, some other people have had this problem and traced it to a ground short, others to shorted wiring, a few tricks to try, will report back, car did however drive fine today and no more codes have reappeared
Renboy
I'd go with faulty ground too. It would be quite the coincedence to have 4 injectors fail at once.
///BHRpowered
from different banks, but I'm not sure what ground it could be, I removed 2 grounds to install my lights, but that was a few weeks ago and tightened them, and the lights work fine. the other thing is it seems to happen on long drives, going to ct it took about 4 hours until it started, then after letting the car sit for about 3 hours it didn't do it again until about 3 hours into the trip, of course some people have reported that the cel will randomly turn off and the problem fix itself. mts
Use some Di-electric grease when re-installing ground wires... works miracles.
///BHRpowered
JU thread http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=807236 Apparently some people have had this problem, mostly on very long trips, but its all people with modded grands, I'm taking there could be an ohm inbalance caused by certain off-road lights. Why I don't know, but I'm lost at this point
