the specs i have copied directly out of my 2002 brochure and are accurate for a 2002 S or L. If anyone has access to their older brochures and a scanner, theres a single page that's near the back of my brochure that lists all this info that I'd like to see a copy of. Mazda Millenia/Millenia S, Eunos 800/800M Frequently Asked Questions

This guide is a BASIC reference guide to many questions that are asked over and over. Please note that some of the information in this guide is related to a specific model as noted.

There are 3 different tiers of the Mazda Millenia. There is a base model which had the fewest features and was produced __ to __. You can tell if you have this model by having cloth seats, no moonroof, and no keyless entry. The Millenia L (which does not have an L badge on the back of the car) is upgraded to better amenities such as the leather seats and keyless entry. Both the Millenia L and Millenia (base) have a 170hp, 160tq 2.5L V6 (which is shared among other Mazdas and fords like the Mazda 626 and Ford Probe.) The Millenia S is a supercharged 2.3L V6 producing 210hp/210tq. The Millenia S uses a Miller Cycle Engine with a Lysholm compressor.

Model differences (years)

Various changes were introduced over the years the car was made. For the most part, the car was only changed every other year. The engine specs for each year have been the same 210/210 for the S, and 170/160 for the L. However, there is a slight difference in the supercharger between the first model years and later ones.

1995 was the first official year, although the car was first sold in the US in early to mid 1994. The 1995 models had projector low-beam headlights, a retractable antenna, and taillights with orange blinkers. The 1996 model had mostly the same features as the 1995. Wheel sizes for the L were __, __ for the S for 1995/1996.

1997 was the first major change for the Millennia. The projector lows were changed to reflectors for low and high beams, the fogs were changed to projectors, and there was no more retractable antenna. 1997 was the last year to have the old Mazda logo. 1998 is similar to a 1997, but has the new Mazda logo. 1997 and 1998 both have the orange turn signals. Rims for the L were __, __ for the S for 1997/1998.

1999 has upgraded rims, vastly upgraded taillights, reflector headlights, and projector fogs. 2000 is similar to 1999 models, with the exception of the 2000 Millenia S Millenium Edition, which had 17” chrome S rims suede interior, and ME badges. Rims were 16” for the L, 17” for the S.

2001 was the first major redesign of the Millenia. Upgrades include new taillights, new front end, improved handling, return to projector low beams, reflector fogs, redesigned interior, more powerful radio (bose only?). 2002 Was similar to 2001, and was the last year the Millenia was produced.

The Millennia never came with a manual transmission

The low fuel light lights up when there is approx 3-4 gallons left in the tank on MOST cars.

30k service is usually around $400-450 US at a dealer and includes a transmission drain and refill, replacement air filter,
