SteveSter
I just bought a V1 from a friend for $80 (I think it was stolen lol). But anywho I also am thinking about sending it in. When you send it in, they dont just update the firmware they also calibrate all the radar bands to the proper frequencies and replace any of the lenses if they are scratched. I have only seen it work on the X band so far.

SteveSter
Actually they want $136 to upgrade mine cause it appears to be very old.
mts
with the arseholes up here... illegal to have speed sensing devices and all... I would go with the Bel STi to save my ass... virtually undetectable
SteveSter
Its not illegal here, the Bel is nice but I like to be able to see if I have several bogeys ans where they are, I believe the V1 is the only one that does that. SteveSter
How come other radar detectors have upto 12 bands when the V1 only has 4? Are all those other bands useless?
