I know you'll probably say just do it yourself but I just do not have the time. When I get my Scorpio back this week, I'm sure it will need a good clean up.

So I was thinking of having both cars professionlly detailed at the same time. Some places offer a discount for two cars.

I just wanted to know should I go for the maximum treatments or are they just rip offs. If I can do bits myself that aren't too time-consuming, then I don't mind doing them. But if these valeting companies have heavy duty equipment and products that will do a first rate job, I don't mind just leaving it all to them.

I want my cars restored to their former glory.

What treatments should I be asking for to get the job done ?

dallas, here is a company in my local area, they are very very good....I won't let them touch the millenia, but let them do the m interior once, and jeep ex once. I cannot stress how high end they are, they do all the ferrari's and lambo's for players of the local sports teams etc. Plenty of pictures.

INCLUDING (if its still on there website) a green 96 millenia being dried next to a ferrari 550 being washed.

Just look up the packages an it will give you a list of what each one includes. Usually (atleast in the US) its a package deal.

BHR has not learned that driving a milly can also be fun........he still thinks it can't tow, remember?

Tow? He thinks it is made of sugar and melts in the rain :)

Seems like a good deal to me, but then comparing to prizes here isn't widely interesting.

Dallas, how did the Xedos exhaustjob turn out?
The engineers hoped to modify the boot lid in order to minimize wind resistance. The easiest method involved attaching
a rear spoiler, though that would detract from the vehicle's lines.
Alternatively, the lip of the lid could be enlarged, though that would require significant more work. Naturally, the team chose the second approach, and set to work in a wind tunnel lab in Miyoshi. A while later, they emerged with the hoped-for design, which was both aerodynamic and aesthetically pleasing...

2000 Xedos 9 2,5. Stock features: push-a-button retract mirrors, 1500 kg towing capasity, tranny cooler, rear swaybar, pollen filter, roof rack mounts.

Ported heads, knifeedged IM, dropin K&N with wheelwell airduct.

Taking it to a garage to see if they can do some welding work on it first before confirming it needs a replacement.

For their most expensive and best package, how come they do not do everything?

She probably meant there are dots missing in your package which is listed in others, like hoovering and dash cleaning. Which is of course replaced by carpet shampooing and dash treatment. Might be hard to figure out I guess wink.gif

I await photographic updates, as I would consider doing this myself.

I notice they say nothing about Clay bar.

$40 isn't a bad price considering I spent almost that much on just the claybar itself! I've yet to use it though - it just seems impossible to keep a car fully clean in this damp weather.

Dallas must give us updates on his original post now.
