WOW. How does it work on the outside black plastic? Around the windows in particular.

Excellent. Well Autobarn didn't have the Back to Black so I bought the Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer. I will keep all updated when I get around to it...

its hard to spot on the shelfs most of hte time, but you must find some.

the meguiers trim detailer is ok, but I've never been impressed with it, especially for deeper cleaning jobs

Cheers for the offer MC, though my normal policy is to finish off what I've got (and this might last me a while) before getting a replacement. I'll let you know if/when that day comes if I still can't find it...

I still haven't found a permanent cure to faded black chrome. Meguiars products only work temporarily...the most effective solution is to just replace the parts with new ones. :-)

The majority of cars from '05 + don't even use much black chrome anymore...which is a good thang! That crap takes to much of a beating from UV light.

what black chrome?

are you talking about powder-coating? none exists on the millenia, but my jeeps brush guard and rock sliders are fine, no fading at all, and all I have to do is wash them

There aint any black chrome on the 01-02 Millenia if I can remember correctly. Black chrome is just PITA to maintain throughout time.

not to me, its known as black plastic, or rubber.

and what I had on my old jeep, the very rough unpolished unpainted plastic for the cladding was in no way "chrome"

Without comparing products back to back, I can say I am very pleased with the Meguiars Gold Class trim detailer. It was particularly good on the black mirrors of a friend's Suzuki. I will keep an eye out to see how long the results last.
