I'd have to look into it more with syn, its a different software package that ties into invision, which mean you pay a licensing fee, and possibly hosting, but that might be something oyu can work with.

Here we pay a yearly fee to invision for the license, which also includes tech support and upgrades, hosting is provided by another service on a shared hosting platform.

Right now we pay about 150 dollars a year in hosting + another 30 a year for dedicated mySQL hosting (hence why since we renewed in march there have been no crashes) In addition to hosting invision charge something like 30 dollars a quater, which is much less the original 190 per year.

Not that bad, the big thing is that syn does not want mw/net polluted with ad's, unlike some shit buckets where every word in every thread is highlighted and brings up some crap

As far as specs, we technically have "unlimited" bandwidth which is handed out in 100,000 meg intervals, so basically one badass terabyte, of that we have been using 3-6% a month. In addition to bandwidth we have about 2gigs of raw space used for storage, most of that is the forum records, but also in there are all attachments, including smilies and massive 300meg videos from MWM's

We have a 15 gig limit on storage space, it'll be awhile before we need more.

It was originally considered in the site design but at the time not much interest was generated. Since there is renewed interest I have been looking into trying out a beta test version. I would like to be able to link MW accounts in the chatroom, as oppose to an open format where you pick a new handle at each log-in.

I do not expect this to happen with in the next few days, but is on the list along with a minor front page redesign, updated flash movie, and addition of more sub-forums to support Mazda's growing line up.

Also true, but it would be a feature of the site that not many others don't have, from the beginning this forum was founded on the concept of a smaller, but much more personal community, none of this 10,000 users and 8000 with 1 post or less garbage...

If this place ever got to the size of say, Jeepforum, 300,000 users, tens of millions of posts, noobs who don't even have cars wanting 1 post advice, multiply off-topic sections to handle all the new cell phone/porn/dating advice/newsstory garbage

Thread edited and trimmed. I remind you one time and one time only, this section is for suggestions and mild feedback, under no condition is it for discussion let alone bumping threads for "updates"

Anyone found in violation of this will have there posts deleted and a 1-day suspension.
