  1. I used to have that, from memory it is to do with the tail light bulbs. One is probably out, or converted to LED.

The funny thing is one rear LED was out and I replaced outer 2 just before this starts happening. However I had LEDs for years and never had this problem. How did you fix it? One inner LED is half working now. Maybe I should replace them as well. And also one front parking bulb is out. It is regular bulb.

  2. I rented a hyundai elantra and it was surprisingly good. I couldnt find anything to complain, given the segment of course. I ride quality is very good yet handling/brakes were not compromised. Audio is far better than an average japanese sedan. Everything was firm no panel squeaks, unlike mazda3, 6.

    Should try sonata.

  3. I used 5w-40 and 10w-30 amsoil. I dont see any difference in terms of: oil consumption, mileage, performace.

40 is better if you drive at high revs and let more fuel mix to the oil, causing oil to get lighter. M3 uses 10w-60 and regularly revs above 5k rpm. If you dont race with hold pressed I dont think you usually drive at high revs with an AT car.

  4. I was one of the first people in North America to drive the Mazda2 awesome little b-car. Handles really well.

Handles well? I can roll it like an egg with those bicycle tires.

The actual 2 looks very cheap with lots of plastic. The photos I posted belonged to the show car in LA auto show which looks at least stylish.

  5. No, per your advice I looked into it already and have gotton detailed instructions, as well as the correct kevlar replacement so it may go 100k, along with while doing the replacment change out the tensioner and replace waterpump with metal blade one to keep from issues in the future

    What they used plastic blades?

  6. Some 01 and all 02 milleniae have larger diameter brake rotors. To put them they changed the knuckle which holds the bearing. The axle is also different. You likely have the larger diameter brakes, new brake calipers, knuckle and new sized wheel bearing. If you remove the wheel cap and measure the axle nut size there I can tell you if you have the new set.

If this is the case you should look for a 01-02 (millenia) knuckle/bearing.

So you cannot read the part number on mazda supplied new part?

    Hi,

I went to measure the axle nut and with my rudimentary measuring tool I found it to be approximately:

    Outer Diameter - 45mm

    Hole - 21mm

Basically I turned the nut around and measured its reverse flat surface. If you want me to post some pictures of it being measured with my ruler in order to highlight any inaccuracies that I may have made, then please do let me know.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Regards.

It should be either M30 or M36. It says standard M30 has 45mm outer diameter. So it is likely that you have the smaller sized axle (95-00 millenia). 21mm hole should be a wrong measurement, or I am misunderstanding where you measure. I will double check mine when I have the time.
