  2. Very interesting read.... since I would never throw money away at drive-off-loss on a car... I do not have to worry about it. I am against buying a new car that will lose 10-30% in the first week of ownership.

Actually my car's retail value is $600 more than when I bought it 7 months ago. Any car is going to lose value when you buy it, so the trick is to buy below market value. I got mine for $1500 under invoice.

  3. For those of you that remember me from back in the day when I had time to post (and things were a little more interesting), you probably remember my Autumn Red 1998 Millenia. Well, it was getting old and unreliable, so I decided to upgrade to a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 S.

It may not exactly match all the luxury features of the Millenia, but as far as driving experience, it's got the Millenia beat! It has a 2.5L 4-cylinder that has more horsepower (175 to be exact) than the Milly, and better gas mileage (26 City, 34 Highway). And the transmission......NO COMPARISON! The Altima has an Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) so it doesn't actually shift gears! Imagine that...no more harsh shift from 1st to 2nd!!

With that being said, I do have some cool leftovers...

    1. Set of 99/00 Tail Lights (asking $275 plus shipping)
    2. Set of 99/00 Clear Smoke Front Turn Signals (asking $150 plus shipping)
    3. Set of Fondmetal 9x 18x8 Alloy rims with Stainless steel lip wrapped in Toyo Proxes 4 Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires (asking $600 plus shipping)
    4. Sunroof wind deflector ($35 plus shipping)

    UPDATE

I got an offer of $400 for the tail lights and turn signals, but no date for payment.

Make me an offer on the rims and tires. I'm anxious to get them out of my garage.

Also, I have a JK AutoSports cld air intake. I'm asking $125 for that under the condition that I can put the stock air filter back on.

Don are you still interested in the K & N CAI filter?

  4. Hey guys,

I sold my Millenia to my Dad and got a 2007 Altima, so I have some leftover parts.

Set of clear front turn signals for 99-00 Milly (asking $150 plus shipping)

Set of 99-00 Tail lights (asking low price of $300 plus shipping)

Sunroof wind deflector (asking $35 plus shipping)

K& N Re-usable Conical Air Filter for CAI with Recharge Kit, less than 5000 miles usage (asking $40 plus shipping)

PM me if you're interested. You can see some of the mods in my sig.

I have an offer for the turn signals and tail lights - $400 plus shipping. If that falls through, they're available. I'll keep you posted.

  5. Funnily enough, I was thinking about getting this done and went to a shop for prices. They quoted about £250 ($425) to supply and fit Eibachs but they couldn't get any for the Xedos 9... the Xedos 6, yes but not the 9. They tried PI but nothing either ?

Where can I get some from ? And I have real concerns about the ride quality too ? :hmm:

I don't know much about the Xedos...is the 6 like the 626, and the 9 like the Millenia?

  6. the altima is in a class with the 626, but they keep making cars bigger and moving there classes, yet still comparing them, this should be compared based on price and size and options to the infiniti i35, in which case its crap.

I would have opted for an 02 millenia S though.

Milly, by chance do you have any of your stock rims left?

I wanted a new(er) car, and the Millenia had limited cargo space. The Altima's roomier, and has more trunk space.

The stock rims are on the car.

I also have a sunroof wind deflector ($35 plus shipping) ....forgot to mention that.

  7. I paided $250 for Eibachs, $250 for installation.

I also got struts cuz I thought I needed them (OEM replacements). I paid about $600 for them, plus another $250 for install.

You really don't need new struts (especially if only OEMs are available).

I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this but my suspension got really crappy on hard bumps after the Eibachs (one reason I gave up on the car). Make sure your spring insulators and strut bumpers are in good shape (and order replacements if needed) before you get the springs, and then you should be fine.
