  1. I would think that by now I wouldn't have to take the time otut of my day and my blood pressure to write a long drawn out reply, I mean graham hasn't seen true bhe yet, but when coming home there was an asian on asian traffic accident, a lexus into a toyota, and 1 of them in handcuffs, probably for being illegal, or no license, or no insurance, or just pissing off the cop. So I'm in a good mood.

Despite kats description, whoring is strictly controlled here in the promise land.

I commend you on your self control bhr... In the old days one could mention flower or sunset, and your turrets would get to acting up, and break out into a spastic rant using a meldey of words cockwhore, cuntmuscle, cumdumpsters etc :) Now all we have to do is gather up everybody from the old site and we can be a big happy family again. I dont mind being the redhead step child with the fat wheels either :D

  2. My opinions are rims are well known, but I don't see kats offset being a problem, I would worry about minor rubbing when going over a harddip or something, but that would depend on the size tire and drop.

Call the DR, he must be sick or maybe drunk. I expceted the most intense flaming from you bhr, now for your followers !!!

As for the 'Busa being a learning bike, wow! I've never gone onto bikes personally as I would kill myself at the end of the first full power run, but that sounds like one hell of a bike to start with! The reason I said to get a Fireblade is just because my boss did a lot of track days on his 'Busa, then he switched to a Fireblade and reduced his lap times by 5 seconds instantly. Top speed on the straight was 250kph (155mph) in the Busa with the Fireblade 10kph slower, but it corners faster and is more nimble through the chicane.

But as a sedate road bike with the occasional adrenaline rush, I'm sure it's more than enough bike for that. :)

I'm curious how the different suspension and other mods would make your bike go compared to a stock Busa.

Cheers & thanks for the warm welcomes.

    G.

Yeah i used to read into bikes all the time thats how i learned to ride before i ever got on one. I never was taught, just handed the keys (other than the moped and 4-wheeler i had :) ) . I know the busa is crazy slow in the twisties. Pops set it up with the local amateur drag in mind, its a 2000 wit 19k miles so its prolly lost some punch compared to a fresh 07. Any bikes performance nowadays lies in the rider and how much he can/willing to push it anyways. An experienced rider on a busa can make it through the twisties faster than i can on a R1, fireblade, or gixxer 1K and vice versa. Anyway if i had bought the bike it would have been a gixxer 750 prolly. But it was a gift (not bad for a free hand-me-down). But now that i have it, im glad. Cuzz im over the scare that follows engines 1k+, and how ppl say you should start with a 600. Its just like any other vehicle, its power is controlled 100% by the rider. If the rider has self control and doesnt try to copy the tricks and silly shit thats seen in the stunt videos everything is perfect. But if a noob, buys a new bike even a 250 and trys to do crazy shit, hes going to the ICU. Me i plan on keeping all wheels on the ground at all times, i dont think its cool to impress ppl by risking my life. Plus since it was a gift from my pops i plan on keeping it till the wheels fall off. Park it later on and buy me a chopper to ride, and pass'em both off to my kids. Atleast thats the idea, certain shit you just cant trash or get rid of...

  3. Kat - with your preferences, I'd advise not moving to Australia. :)

It's actually illegal here for the wheels/tyres to stick outside of the body, but you can put flares on the car to effectively bring the wheels in to legal standards.

IMO it's a dangerous thing to do - ever seen two Indy or F1 cars touch wheels???

But I do like those wheels - I'm searching for a nice wheel and so far I'm heading towards either wide spokes or a flat dish style rim. I don't normally like chrome rims, it's just the Millenia in most colours really does beg for chrome :)

If it hasn't already been said, what size are your new rims & tyres???

Oh, and re the Hyabusa, get a fireblade if you want to go round corners fast too. ROFL!

    Cheers! Graham.

p.s. If I've come across as an abnoxious smart ass, my apologies & no offence intended. Even though I'm a newbie, my slightly off sense of humour still over rides my words and I hope they are received the way I intended.

No way, im not offended at all. Usually disses around here get pretty damn rude :) Question though, what about the mud monster trucks/jeeps that ppl jack up and put the mudding tires on they stick way out... Anyway i appreciate your comments everybody has their own style and opinions, and i respect yours, alot of folks dont. Welcome 2 the site, wheels are 19x8 +40mm btw....

For the busa, this is my learner bike, ive never ridden before and ive put prolly 4-500 miles on it total. So im not to interested in hitting corners fast, although i spent alot of time make laps to improve it. Ive already got over the go fast bug. Honestly i dont drive it much faster than i do the milly. I occaisonally punch it just to get the rush though...

Welcome Graham, and there are lots of smart asses already here... your sense of humour will be welcome here... ;)

    Indeed...

  4. i dont understand how u keeo getting these wheels that poke out so much.... and make it look like a truck

Simple answer really, i likem... The only wheel ive ever seen chrome or otherwise that i liked without the lip and didnt go atleast to the fender is the moda r6 which is discontinued. If i ever stumbled on a set i couldnt go without that didnt atleast fill the wheel well or more i would put washers or spacers behind them. Any wheel that i evere buy would have to have a huge lip, and its hard to find them that are above a 40mm

Agreed, crazy wrong offset is not in my taste. I will not even think of what WILL happen if you hit a large bump

After rolling the fender in the rear, nothing atleats not yeah. At 80+ speeds they did rubb, i dont push the milly to often though....

I'm feelin' those wheels. I know it's a matter of personal preference but two things I would do. Number one, DROP THAT BITCH and two, tuck in the wheels! I think you may have gotten the wrong offset. This is how those wheels should fit:

Milly money is exhausted, plus if i drop it, i think it will excite more problems with the tires... If anything, ill put more miles on the tires and sell the package for cheap and get a set of hyper silver wheels. I like the grey, but it really only looks good upclose and clean. My original idea to get away from chrome was sumn that i didnt have to keep sparkling to look good. But i really like these cause they are out of the ordinary. They've pulled some compliments but not as much as the chromies when they first went on...

  5. I promised i would get pics of the new wheels. Ive also painted my calipers/hubs silver, shaved the front license bracket, and i have a tranny cooler imma install in the front to fill that gap in the center. Before i left one of the components on my 8oook setup went out. Since hids are so cheap now i took the opp to throw in a 6000k set-up. I cant really tell a difference in brightness, but i like the color more...

But more importantly after years of begging the alzheimers finally set in on my daddy and he gave over the busa. I already ordered a top gun undertail, new tires and maybe a solo seat cowl in the future. While the wheels are off, prolly get the rims powder coated a sparkle silver.... He already put on a full yoshimura exhaust, power commander II, tank bra and its lowered...

I think they look good together, her highness and the nasty bitch (roll the throttle from 45 in 5th and u'll see why) :)

  6. i got kumho spt's i know they will get flamed here. but i actually took a lil time to read up on these b4 buying. Most ppl say they are an excellent tire for the price, some folks even take'em to the track. They run alot smoother and quiter than the hankooks, i can actually drive with the radio off...

  7. I'v actually seen those systems on larger tractors, its suppose to be so that you do a perfect row at perfect dimensions of something.

my pops is a farmer, straighter rows allow u to cram more in the field with no excess space on the ends. Also alllows you to spray and cut weeds easier without running over the product you just planted...

i did a quick search and it looks as if they have sysems for cars as well. i would check out their features and see if its sumn u like before i look at any other brand out there.

Kat Daddy would you provide me a link to the car products please? I cannot seem to find what I am looking for.

    Thanks in advance.

I saw a few components with a froogle search heres the home site try there. Once agian i cant vouch for their car products but their professional grade shit is pretty good, that may also add to $$$ They even have military use shit...

  8. You should check out the Trimble brand. I dont know how well their car products are. But my pops has them in his tractors (alot of companies offer them as an option), they come with a 9-10" touchscreen it looks like. You initiate a turn and it kicks in (interfaces with the electronic steering) and finishes the 180 turn and aligns you perfectly into the next row. It keeps your rows perfectly straight through the fields. Their systems help make farmers good money by cramming as much into the field as possible. keep in mind there are no charted roads or intersections that it can use to cheat. The system has to find you wherever, i bet they can easily handle highway driving... just my 2 cents....

  9. details to using claybar please including a good brand. i was told not too fukk with that stuff unless you know what ur doing and not to use it often. you could cause your paint to peel or flake....

  10. while i was deployed it was in a regular mini storage. It sat there for 8mnths or so. I put it on the frame lift when i got back to paint the calipers, change oil, tranny fluid, spark plugs, filters, etc. I have a place i go that lets us use their tools and shit, but we have to do all the work. That took a few hours. Its a good deal cuzz, they only charge a dolla or 2 an hour...

  11. how do i test injectors ????

also, MTS mentioned there being 2 Vacuum T's. I found and replaced one (the one on top to the left), i believe that helped with the idling issue. Maybe the other has melted too, but i cant find that one... Again i have the L, thanks in advance...

  12. on leave? are you military... and if so are you a usaa member, if not i suggest you sign up

    unfortunately yes. & i am a member....

why dont u just get the springs from tire rack and call it a day....

back when i got my millenia i got brand new H&R springs for 99 bucks... it was sweet!

2 reasons, now that the springs have settled after the car being lifted, the ride height is not that bad. Also i just earned that with luggage in the car and at high speed bumps the wheels DO rubb. I think i may have to tuck the fenders a little. But i dont want to go any lower now.

  13. Heres the codes i got now motorheads. Now these codes only pop up when the engine is cold in the morning. Once ive warmed the engine up, i can clear the codes and start the car 90 times without a CEL. But the first start, every time on a cold engine i get these 2. I spent a few days testing this with the OBDII reader to make sure.

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 1

    P0325 Knock Sensor Bank 1

A muscle car motorhead that i work with said that it could be the MAF sensor, but he admits he doesnt know much about newer car comps, sensors, and such. I think if that was bad the codes wouldnt all point to bank one. But i dont know; any thoughts ? I dont want to go popping and swapping parts that coudl get expensive quick....

  14. na im keeping, but ill get some pics up, im on leave now, but i brought the camera...

No springs though these bastards advertised an item that they didnt have. I wrote them several times about the springs or a tracking number with no response. So i filed a complaint with paypal and they refunded my money. So i write them 4 or 5 times and they cant respond claiming they didnt get any of them. One letter from paypal and all of a sudden their email works fine, assholes. Why did they take the payment to begin with, if they knew they didnt have the shit....
