  1. uggg... universal remus then take to shop and get custom piping and add your res, if you want. ( i would personally) .. maybe add hi-flow cat, then bam done. As bhr stated many times on this forum , ( can find this if you go to my earlier post as a noob member) on how and what should be done if remus is your choice. FYI : Remus wasn't originally car parts, they did motorcycles more , i know cause i used them back in the day when playing around with cbr 600s and 1000s.

  2. steve, let me explain, your WRONG, yes maybe a factory replacement would cost 1000, but keep in mind mts had CUSTOM headers built andinstalled for less then that

     

    Get a used part for cheap, or CUT OUT the cats, there was a great discussion awhile ago about how you don't even need them.

     

    As I stated, get rid of them. Buying a new car is just stupid. As angel pointded out your going to incure massive new costs, and what if those cats are bad, what then? Don't be a obama and get credit you don't need

     

    He has never listened to us before, I doubt he will take our advice now. But it is a great opportunity for a performance upgrade.

    NO Shit he doesn't listen.. Its so much cheaper to get the cats changed out. Had mind done and no where even came close to 1,000.00. For crying at loud, look on ebay!!!

    B. You got to be joking that your gonna buy a 08 Mazdaspeed 3 .... You better be getting a huge deal for it cause your crazy to take on payments right now. 08 Speed3 with decent low miles is around 20k give or take.

    So you rather take payments than $1,000 to fix the Milly, and you put work into it? Is it me or is something wrong with this picture. You can say all you want that "oh it will have warranty and all this torque,ect". NO, pay the 1,000 bucks and have no payments on your ride. And if you are still on payments for the milly , then keep it and just get it fix it will be cheaper in the long run. The milly resell value ( no thanks to mazda on this) is next to nothing, but it is a nice ride for what you paid for it. (BHR wont like this) But the Ladies love the milly and you do too. Come on is that big of a deal, work a extra few shifts or what not, and get it fixed. There are aftermarket cats that will be fine if not better for the exhaust.(Am I right bhr??) Yes , the milly is hard to work on but that wouldn't be different than any other mid-luxury car. Your freakin mazda speed 3 wont be any different with that turbo in it.

    Now the whole exhaust thing ... just like bhr, and don has said ...meet up with Don to trade exhaust somewhere cause that remus should not be going to a stranger.

    Don- (depending where you live will play factor as to the inspection) jegs, jc, and bunch of places on line have resonator between 40-60 bucks and i think thats mangaflows too . Buy one and when you 2 switch and have it installed , just add the resonator then bam! A nice sweet exhaust. Can't remember if you have an s or not but I know the L milly with remus was sweet! had it done to mine.

  4. ok .. as MTS says its an easy job!remove the carpet from the trunk.. get a good small roller+ dynomat then go to town. I put dynomat extreme in my car and worked out wonderfully. Be prepared to get in the trunk to get to some spots! Also for putting back you liner/carpet, keep a screw driver around so you can poke wholes if need be. Trunk should not take you too long, about an hour- 2 hours. OH FYI a dryer wont work if your thinking to use that to heat it up. Needs to be a heat gun! Cut a small piece separate from the rest to go on the fuel filler!

     

    Now as for the doors. Just be care not to stick any wires or cover up window motor up cause if you do, it will be a pain to get it off again if the motor were to go bad! and pop holes where the trim goes back on. All 4 doors should be about 2-3 hours so if you do it on a saturday afternoon you would be good! USE A ROLLER WHEN APPLYING... dont know how to express this enough

     

    now as far as your subs... personally I dont like a lot of bass so I would say go with 1 12 Sub and a smaller amp or maybe even 1 10 sub and small amp. I know there are deals on crutchfield. Depends on what you are listening to and such. I know when I listen to trance and eurobeat i keep the bass at a middle level when I had my 12's in mine. Wish I had never did a huge system in my car now but young and stupid lol
