I have the philips prem bulbs (no blue coating) but I can tell you that is a bad coating, or by chance did you touch the raw bulb with your fingers? Sometimes a finger print and the oil that creates them can do this. I would email the company, say you have one defective bulb and see if they'll ship you a new one. Or simply buy a single replacement and make sure to take a terry cloth (or just a rag really) and wipe the glass area of the bulb to make sure its clean.

I didn't touch the raw bulb with my fingers, not even with my gloves. I was extremely careful with them cause I knew if I ruined one, it would take at least a week or so to get a replacement (can't get these bulbs in US).

    I've e-mailed the company.

  2. So I purchased a set of Phillips VisionPlus H3 bulbs for my fog lights. Purchased them from autolamps-online.com (shipped from UK). I installed them and turned on the lights. I was very dissappointed as one of them was yellow (more yellow than stock bulbs) and the other was a nice bright white (better than Silverstars IMHO). I wondered why there was a huge discrepancy in color between them. I took out the bulbs to compare them and this is what I found: one of them turned yellow?

What do you think happened to it? I was wearing gloves when I installed it and was very careful. It did not get into contact with water either. Do you think it's just defective?

By the way, the color change is inside the bulb.

  3. I e-mailed Raxles for a quote, here is their reply:
