Renboy Posted May 27, 2007 Report Share Posted May 27, 2007 So if you're like me, you bought wheel locks, threw out all the papers for them (serial numbers) and lost the fucking key . Solution: 1) Tighten the rest of the lugs on the car as much as you can. 2) Get a 22mm 6 point deep socket 3) Hammer the socket over the locks as deep as you can 4) Loosen the 22mm socket with lock inside I just went through this and didn't damage the wheels, and tools or the locks (for the most part). The only damage to the locks was scratches on the outside and dents on the face of them from hammering them out of the socket. Throw the alost new locks in the garbage and replace with normal lugs. If someone wants to steal your wheels, by reading this they just found out how. And it gives you the opportunity to buy new ones. BTW, I tried using a steel hardening putty, and it just sheared off.
