///BHRpowered Posted June 1, 2006 Report Share Posted June 1, 2006 Now sadly the 1156/7 bulbs have a circle tower design with 20 leds, whereas the 7440/3 contain only 16 in a 4 board style, not nearly as effective. Now for those of us with 01-02 lenses it sucks. I received an e-mail from bacon (guy who owns superlumination) and today he launched "light tower II" starting mostly with the 3156/7 bulbs, these are the same design as the 1156/7 bulbs in the tower form, contain 20 leds, and are said to produce more output with the same or lower heat sink. So I was wondering, how hard would it be to convert to 3156/7 from the 7440/3. it seems like the bases are just shorter.
