Get a deep socket slightly larger than the wheel lock itself. Make sure it has a large enough diameter to fit over the wheel lock and have at least 2mm clearance all around.

Spray the wheel lock down really well with WD40 or equivalent and mix up some of that 5 min epoxy putty. The putty you need is the one that is more like clay not the syrup kind and pack it into the socket. Quickly fit the socket over the wheel lock taking care to clean up the excess putty that seeps out. Give it about 5-10mins and you have a temporary key. It works about 80% of the time and take care to really coat the wheel lock down well with light oil or else you’re going to have an even bigger problem on your hands.

If you don't coat all the nook and crannys of the wheel lock with some type of releasing oil the putty and lock become one. Once its stuck in there it never comes out.

weld on a nut from the inside of the nut. and then any socket will do... but aside from that...

You know I'v gotto say, this is a pretty smart idea, or you could just use any type of putty, say for example playdoh even, cast it, then fill that mold with super high strengh liquid epoxy and BAM your own wheel key....techs might give you a funny look if you hand it to them to remove the wheel though
