Knock Sensor

All engines nowadays have knock sensors, it is a sensor that looks for KNOCK from inefficient combustion, advance or retard the the timing to avoid damage to cylinder or piston. Knock often comes from low octane fuels.

Well this place hasn't changed, the whoring thrives in the correct sections and I am sure that Syn could arrange to revive your posts...

 

I was leaving this thread open to see if Ren or some others had some input on the knock sensor. If not it will be soon closed, as the question was answered.
