dwmcqueen
Are the pictures available anywhere for the lateral link replacement guide in the Technical guide section? I need to change mine and thought the pics would help.

dwmcqueen
I do - or at least th1 1996 version. I assume it is pretty close for my 2002. Good suggestion.

I think it is more than enough for this job. There should be no difference in suspension.
dwmcqueen
Well - the only part I am missing is which bolts to remove on the crossmember? Do I need to have the cross member jacked up?

BTW why do you need to replace it? I thought you were saying leading link. Upper lateral, I dont know how to do.
SteveSter
I changed my lateral link without removing anything but the lateral link itself. Just mark the posistion of the camber adjustment take and remove and replace the same way. Its only 2 bolts.

Just mark the posistion of the camber adjustment take and remove and replace the same way. Its only 2 bolts. The only issue I have is removing the large bolt - not enough clearance to pull it out - which is why Renboy's howto must have mentioned moving the cross-member. BTW - both my lateral and leading were bad....lateral was worse than leading...
SteveSter
I use a punch to push it out, and a hammer to get it back in.
dwmcqueen
I can't do that without the bolt piercing through the metal... As far as Renboy's instructions, I can see the 17mm bolt that I need a deep socket for (and access with an extension). What I am missing is the 19mm bolts on the cross-member - where are they? But if it moves in lateral or vertical direction it is not good.
dwmcqueen
It was moving vertically and laterally. It was quite bad (especially when compared to other side). All is better now..
