dwmcqueen
I just got one of those nice scanners at ScanTools.net and can use their software to pull off data from my car. Is there a listing that I can compare to the readings I get vs. what they should be (for such things as O2 sensors, etc)?
enginph
I am back and forth buy that thing. So how is it? What can you see?
dwmcqueen
I am back and forth buy that thing. So how is it? What can you see? It's pretty nice. I'll post up some screenshots later, but I see Engine RPM, Air FLow Rate, Timing Advance, Intake Air Temp, Fuel Pressure, Coolant Temp, O2 Sensor, Distance since MIL activated, CAT Temp and quite a few extra. Everything updates as you drive, I bought mine for $40 with shipping on eBay, but it is a Chinese clone. I'd suggest one from ScanTool.net instead (real parts). ///BHRpowered
eh, there are tons of places where you can check to see what a code means.
latinopikachu
i would want to see realtime data like coolent temperature, RPM, wheelspeed, intake temp, etc etc etc
dwmcqueen
eh, there are tons of places where you can check to see what a code means. It's not codes I am concerned about - the scanner gives me realtime data (RPMS, intake temp, O2 sensor status). I'd like to see if those are within spec or possibly needing change. Renboy
Assuming you have the Elm 327, with better software you can get hp/tq numbers as well as drag/reaction times.

Renboy
60', 1/8, and 1/4 miles. Reaction time, is just that, the time it takes you to react after seeing the green lights.
