milenkogt
Hey all, i just got 2.5in piping installed today and a new exhaust vid. Borla muffler, 2.5in catback
street3890
Sounds nice, very throaty. You feel any difference? I have a remus.
///BHRpowered
Its not remus, but with 2.5 piping I'm sure you've noticed an excellent power gain in higher revs

milenkogt
i wanna cut off the rear cat, and get a bigger inlet/outlet muffler, the one one there is 2in in/out so i had to reduce, i might go with a magnaflow or bigger borla eventually. i wonder how one of those glasspack type magnaflow magnapacks would sound? lol
///BHRpowered
you mean 2.5 in and 2.25 out, thats why the 2.5 exhaust works so well. I'm planning 1 final trip to the exhaust shop in the fall, depending on price I may try the header route but unlikely, I will however be hollowing out the precats, and possible adding a new model remus

I'm planning 1 final trip to the exhaust shop in the fall, depending on price I may try the header route but unlikely, I will however be hollowing out the precats, and possible adding a new model remus Precats are in the manifolds, or the rear catalytic converter? i want to just hack the rear cat off and replace it with piping and eventually install headers, just wish the shop that did "the only MTS'' headers had a jig or something to fabricate them off the car so i wouldn't have to provide my car at their shop. ///BHRpowered
the rear cat, the precats are smaller. My plan is to just hollow them out.
Jdubs99
Nice, I didn't have to play guinea pig with Borla. I think I'll be moving ahead with my Borla plans when i'm not broke.
DoN_BLaZe34
sounds like indeed
Jdubs99
I was expecting a lot more backpressure blurb like with similar non-canister exhaust (Magnaflow, Flowmaster), and it simply isn't there. The videos from the first MW meet caught my eye for Borla, and this was the closer for me.
mts
I haven't recorded mine on the decrease of speed yet, there is a beautiful throaty burble when manually downshifting and keeping the rpms high...
///BHRpowered
Jdubs, the video from 05 is pretty good, marcus millenia sounds better in person, but I'm still a remus guy. All millenia's are super smooth, but the MCE is like no other, no blurp at all at any speed on any exhaust iv ever heard., I think marcus sold his millenia almost 2 years ago though and ended up with a 350z drop top. milenkogt
when i took the video, i the car was revved to around 5500rpms at max, so thats the loudest the car got at a free rev. without a rear cat, performance gains may be noticeable and i'm sure the decibel level would increase. ///BHRpowered
2nd to my exhaust I would say marcuses, or malice's exhaust. and damn it, he's dropped off the face of the planet, hasn't posted, always on aim but never there, and no real reply on MWM08 I demand to know what is up with his millenia and if he ever killed those chipmunks
street3890
Yo me BHR!!! lol i make so many videos, they only person to make multiple video's of a remus on a millenia s. Thank you very mcuh.

///BHRpowered
street - you have pretty much the same setup, or same sound, I'm talking about different ones. I'm mixed on the headers, I would have to see power gains to justify the price. My exhaust plans I have my nov ($$$ dependent) won't change much, just a bit more free flowing. milenkogt
if the millenia didn't have any cats then there would be a ''blurb'' from teh exhaust under decel. whenever i'm able to install headers on the millienia i'm not going to run any cats and use just two resonators and muffler. on my mustang i have a twin screw 2.2L displacement kennebell making 21psi, 1-3/4in kooks longtubes with 3in xpipe and exhaust. and turn down magnapacks. You should hear the exhaust on that it blurbs pops and shoots flames under decel and between shifts.
///BHRpowered
If you listen very careful I use to have one, but would only happen when accelerrating hard then just before shifting if you had to hit the brakes it was there a bit, but since the intake was installed it doesn't seem to be there. I wouldn't mind an active exhaust type bark though
