Troutman
Replacement tails with clear indicators, plus 1157 high power 360 degree bulbs from Warden. The tails are actually from an older Eunos 500 (before they had Mazda badges) but I much prefer it to the late model factory items.
///BHRpowered
excellent indeed, and the output of the high power towers? any heat problems?
Troutman
Cheers, far too early to say re heat issues but I will keep an eye out. The low/high contrast seems OK but not brilliant. Overall brightness is satisfactory - keep in mind the bulbs go in on an angle so the above picture is almost looking at it straight-on. I'm thinking of buying a set for a friend's car which is driven very regularly, which would enable much swifter results on longevity. DoN_BLaZe34
it's the first time i've ever seen newer tails take on the orange/amber look for the turns...usually it's the opposite way with the older tails being amber/orange and the newer ones being clear.. Troutman
If it was a few years ago I'd have agreed with that, but the latest trend in automotive fashion (change for change's sake in this case) is the move back to amber indicators. Take the 3 series as an example: In the '90s it was a different story and the Eunos 500 was an exception to say the least.

///BHRpowered
mistakes...you call them mistakes, they haven't gone off the deep end with ugly and retarded like many chink cars such as honda, but still. the new 3 and 5 are disgusting. and the maxima, I have NEVER liked the new design orwhere there taking it, ghetto ugly is what it is. trout - when you say the high/low contrast in "ok" would you say it is better then standard tower bulbs?
mts
They are design mistakes... the engineering is remarkable, the design horrid.
Troutman
BH, without a tower I couldn't compare. I intend to buy another pair for further testing in a few weeks. Don, yes they are amber but a darker amber than the old days. It is unclear if this trend will be indefinite but I have found it quite surprising. ///BHRpowered
hmm, I wonder what the high/low difference is between a high power/spuerflux led and the standard, I would imagine its great since hte low would remain low and the high would be much more. heat of course is the other issue, as long as it puts out less heat then the stock halogens then I'm cool
mohamedeladawy@hotmail.com
that is NOT how our maxima looks like...

Troutman
I realise the US Maxima is styled 'differently'. Nonetheless my point remains.
///BHRpowered
it still looks quite retarded. My primary concern is full spread, after which is total output, and from there I move onto high/low difference...followed distantly by everything eles like cost, heat etc

Troutman
Heat is a major concern too, purely because if there is too much of it the bulb may only last a short time. I think the latest Autolumination Eagle Eye Tower (115x) would have to be the ultimate in all areas. And what is it MTS is wanting pictures of? ///BHRpowered
I know heat is bad for LED's, and generally I agree, however with the smaller led's, like say gauges they seem to work far better in the 60 degree and up, I have 2 in my jeeps cluster then when tis extremely cold will not work, let the car heat up and they'll turn on and be perfectly fine
Troutman
Yes I hasten to add the heat issue is only a concern for high power LEDs. Normal LEDs have very little heat.
