Renboy
Yesterday I had to look at the wife's brakes, and one of the wheels was seized to the rotor. I've heard of this before, but never had it happen to me. No amount of prying or hitting the wheel with a mallot would loosen the wheel. So it was on to plan B. Put lugs back very loose, drop car, start car, throw in D, fire on the gas, and then fire on the brakes (in driveway). The second I heard a pop-crunch I knew the wheel had unseized. Reversed back into the garage and removed wheel with ease. Just a heads up if this happens to anyone.
mts
Very cool... takes a lot of balls to do that one I always put a little anti-seize on the faces before tightening lugs to avoid this.

NO FEAR!!! I always put antiseize between the rotor and hub, but have never put it between rotor and wheel. Until now I've never needed to. ing-schu@online.no
Works the treat. I always try the same only without driving, just grabbing the car by the roof and rocking it sideways untill the wheels almost lifts the ground. Usually works too. mts
I use a sledge hammer. That explains the state of your wheels...
MazdaMomma
It would appear so. I like Ren's way of doing it tho.
