I'm getting a small amount of black smoke for 5 seconds or so at startup and I'm thinking one of the cats is dying. No CEL (amazingly) but it does sometimes stumble on restarts. latinopikachu Posted August 5, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 5, 2008 today this morning the CEL comes on, my old friend. god damn random misfire cyl 4 along with 02 code. i shall have to do some coil cleaning and switching on my next day off. my repair shop wanted $860 in labour to replace the cats, and another $750 to replace the 02 sensors. i'm like, wtf, you're going to have the cats off, and dont you have the plug in the 02 sensors into them anyway Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
