///BHRpowered
on the 02 it was no such thing, pressure clips that had to be done one at a time.
latinopikachu
well something was different about this one.
///BHRpowered
unless it had been removed once before, once removed and the initial stress is broken its not as hard, but still a pain - mostly because it keeps trying to cut your fingers off. I still have my 00 trunk plate, but not the 02 lid
latinopikachu
does ANYONE know if an L hood would work on an S or does the S have special paths cut out in it for the ICs? there's the dead 1995 L that still has its lightweight hood. Goliat6288
doubt there is any change... was the S engine made smaller to have the IC ontop and fit like the 2.5 did under the hood?
latinopikachu
i dont want to buy the damn hood and then figure out it wont fit, but i would like the lighter 95 hood also, will a 95 SC work on a 2000? i know there was a slight revision. i can get a BRAND NEW dealer part for $1295 but its a 1995 S supercharger and theyre two different part numbers. what a shame if that would be the only time machine mod that would not work
ing-schu@online.no
The hood is the same, there are cutouts for the IC ducts. According to Renboy the SC is the same all years, part from a pipe for one connecting hose pointing in another direction. Easy fix. Goliath, the 2,3 isn't smaller on the outside. It has a smaller bore, probably for political reasons. It was above all designed as an environmentally friendly engine remember, the extra power is sort of the bonus. Surely the 2,5 would have been beefy enough to cope with the supercharging too, if given the forged pistons and stronger conrods like the 2,3. But in general downsized bore gives more strength due to increased cylinder thickness.
