mts
They are a full 3 inches wider than the rim. I have 10 inches of road contact width. Same OD as the original and no rub, but I am stock height.

DoN_BLaZe34
bumping this from the dead... this was Milly Owner's opinion...bh i know u suggested 225/45's before...i just want to pick u guys' brain and get some more info... It's my opinion that 225/50R17s should have come on the car from the factory. My Xedos 9 10 Untold Stories book contains a quote from a Mazda millenia engineer suggesting that 225/55R16s were what was intended during development of the millenia in the first place, which would translate to a 225/50R17. Starting from that point, anything close or slightly larger in diameter is what I would recommend. For the sizes you listed: 225/45 - Good size for an 18-inch wheel. 225/50 or 245/45 on a 17-inch wheel would be better. 235/50 is a good "slightly larger size" as far as tire diameter. 235/40 - A little small...even on an 18-inch wheel 225/50 - Perfect 235/55 - Too large There really are only three sizes I'd consider for plus sizing on 17-inch wheels: 225/50, 235/50, and 245/45. A 215/55R17 is equivelent in diameter to a 235/50, but they aren't any wider than the stock tires. 225/55R17s might mess with the speedo a little more than I like but will work too. so which would u go with and why
