1995Millenia-S
So no way i can get one now for my milly. ???? here is what they wrote from : remusexhaustshop.com The ROMULUS Mazda Millenia exhaust has been discontinued for quite a while now. Many members of a Millenia forum have installed universal exhausts and had custom 2.5" piping made to give better hp with the supercharger. Is it something a local exhaust shop can do for 50 - 100$. ///BHRpowered
Correct, The romulus is a totally different line, it was an axle back exhaust only sold in europe, less then a handful were ever made, I have never seen anyone with one. People here get a universal muffler, with a 2.5 inlet, or a the "rev3" design, then get custom 2.5" piping from the cat back. This design gives much better power and flow, infact the best possible, plus the universal gives you many more options. Mine is a universal with 2.5" piping and its great. oh btw, this is only for the 2.3 S, the non-supercharged L you can just put the muffler on and do no piping, it won't make much of a power difference, but you can go 2.5. On the S you can just attach straight to the factory pipe, but you won't get as much power
enginph
For $50 bucks you wont get a good installation.
///BHRpowered
I paid about 180, and you'd be suprised, its a universal muffler, all they do is take some piping, make like 2 bends, then weld it, takes 30 minutes tops. I also went with a high flow cat
enginph
It needs argon weld and some kind of piping (not steel) which are both expensive..
///BHRpowered
umm, it takes very little welding, and no, you can use plain steel, thats what the OEM pipe is, I uograded to stainless steel which isn't much more, and I went with mandrel bent instead of just regular bends, alittle more, but it didn't have to be done. ///BHRpowered
nut fuck, how many times have we gone over this in the past 4 years. Its a universal, you cna have them flush with the bumper or stick out. I perfer them sticking out as they should, plus mine are angled, the bottom of the exhaust sits near flush with the bumper, I also WANTED it slightly off center, makes the tips follow the cruve of the bumper, might even allow for slightly better flow. ///BHRpowered
for the last damn time. you can decide how far you want it, it can be about half an inch farther in the edge of the bumper, you people just lack class
mts
NO you just get a hard on from people being able to read your exhaust brand name... MEH
///BHRpowered
you can only read it if your standing right next to the car looking down, which lets face it, noone gets that close to my millenia unless I know them and I'm present. ///BHRpowered
you agree with lat that is should be a comment about non-males whoring instead of exhaust placement?
MazdaMomma
No. I agreed with Lat that the comment he made was not a typical MC comment. I think the exhaust does stick out just a tiny bit too much for my taste.
street3890
Ok, i think mine is only a resonator back, like 2.25" pipes from the cat to the resonator, then 2.5" from the res. to the muffler. Can I replace those 2.25" pipes with 2.5" even if i have the stock cat and res? I'm actually thinking about removing my res. a throwing straight 2.5" pipes from the cat. to the muffler... Renboy
Why would you remove the resonator?
street3890
Make a bit more air flow, more power, more of an aggressive sound. But can i put a 2.5" pipe between the stock cat and res.? Because right now it's nly 2.25, i want 2.5 from cat. to res. as well.
///BHRpowered
you can if you replace the cat with a highflow cat, well worth it.
street3890
So i can't put a 2.5" on the stock cat?
