aamerh
I was doing some work on the car yesterday and saw that the 2.5 intake goes into the wheel well, a resonator(white box?), and then back into the engine bay... do you think if I removed from the resonator on, leaving the opening for the intake ending in the wheel well, it would give any performance gains? SteveSter
Yes I believe it was MillyOwner that had his 2.5 like that. It will make it a little louder but you just have to watch out for big puddles.
ing-schu@online.no
I use this intake with a dropin K&N. Not louder inside the car I think.
///BHRpowered
there was a time when jk was producing custom 2.5 intakes....I believe something like 20 were made, if you could track down one of those....
enginph
I use this intake with a dropin K&N. Not louder inside the car I think. I was thinking about it instead of paper stock. Anything noticeable?
///BHRpowered
I had a drop in k&n for awhile, it might have been good for 1-2hp, but other then that nothing, it didn't really make it louder. if anyone wants I still have my filter, 30 bucks shipped
aamerh
thanks. I'll try doing this later next week... a little busy right now >< Xedos, did you notice any performance increase though?
ing-schu@online.no
It's not like it started to break traction or anything, but I guess it didn't harm. I am quite pleased with the performance once it's on song, from around 4k. Bear in mind I also ported my heads and intake manifold though. Anyway, ditching the tubing is a 30 minute job, easy.
