aamerh
only prob with the 95 cupholders is that they block the cig outlet :/
///BHRpowered
mutant hybrid the cup holder has several flaws, first of all its in a shitty place, so condesnation from a cold drink drops down onto the trim, which you've now changed to wood 2nd, a cupholder assumes you would bring food into the car, this is not allowed
latinopikachu
shut up. it's for the purpose of making it 20 years old like you say. the gear indicator does not light up and the temp gauge does not work in the 2000 console. If you put the whole 95 cluster in the fuel and temp work but the abs light stays on, gear indicators don't work. gonna have to swap it bck for the 2000 gas/temp gauge. the 1995 cluster uses more ofthe connectors than the 2000
colbylamb2006
who cares if it blocks the ashtray, a millenia should never be smoked in anyway, but still a mutant hybrid....as i've stated before... close-able liquids are allowed, Sprite Zero, Water, clear liquids that wont stain. Zero tolerance for food.
///BHRpowered
I have no idea why the abs light would come on, but I figured the gearshift might not work so you finally got the speedo cover off huh, I told you so, did you get the needle back on the way I told you to, it should work fine
aamerh
lol I would never smoke in the car... or even outside for that fact. I hate it. I have my radar detector hooked up and I haven't hardwired it yet... so it's either keep the drink or keep the detector hooked up... always go with the 2nd
///BHRpowered
a diet coke, in my hand, with a screw on cap is possible, but nothing more, especially not from anyone else
latinopikachu
no the speedo reports 10mph over what your doing, so if it say 70 I'm going 60. it did shoot up when I first plugged it back in. so I pulled the needle off and put it back in at 0; now it's reading high. your tach might do the same thing
Frankzao
mutant hybrid pics?
latinopikachu
not until I get my god damn speedo reporting correctly again. I tried cruising at around 40mph and waiting till the gps locked at 40mph when the speedo said 50, and knocking the needlle back down to 40, it seems to be within 5mph or so which is much better
ing-schu@online.no
I love to have a sip of coffee while passing others; my humiliation signature. A must when passing SUVs
latinopikachu
as you can see in the footwell, other projects are in the works and bhr don't start about the cupholder thing being filthy, i took it of the console and scrubbed the shit out of it, before it was so clogged with soda it wouldnt even open, so those deposits are etched in by acid. enginph
My cup holders are used as cell phone holder. In my ashtray there is molten wax. I should clean it sometime, i never use it so keep ignoring..
Frankzao
side view mirror swop? what of the radio? I am sure the 6 disc player was not an option.....
///BHRpowered
hmm, interesting about the speedo, BUT, you removed the counterweights, I did not. I won't be starting the millenia for another 3-4 week, so we'll see then, but it better not damn it.
latinopikachu
i did no such thing, i replaced the counterweights exactly as they were. the speedo shot up and stuck at 20mph when you turned the ignition on, so i pulled the needle off and put it back on at 0, except now it was registering high. so, when going 40mph i knocked the needle back down so it sprung back up to the correct range, thats how i made it work. also, the 95 temp gauge didnt work because i forgot a screw, but when you put it in it shoots up to max hot for some odd reason and then wont go below the cold line. i had to put the 00 one back in, but i'm so sick of screwing with the console i won't mess with it again for awhile
///BHRpowered
so wait, you did get the needle working correctly? I did notice different resistance in my speedo then tach, but the speedo in my millenia I never touched, basically the calibration got it right? I have no idea about the temp gauge, I seem to remember someone saying they are harder to calibrate, did you just do a direct swap of the unit, or just the plate? Task514
so that's the gauge I sold to BHR... hehehe
///BHRpowered
gauge plate, sold to him at a fraction of the cost mind you. I still haven't started the millenia, I will find out in mid march how the tach works
latinopikachu
yes but now the damn fuel gauge is off, it will be at about a couple of mm above the empty line and the low fuel light will come on, i'm like WTF... i think i somehow knocked off the fuel gauge
///BHRpowered
thats your own problem, either way the millenia's fuel guage is never that accurate anyway, drive 70 miles and it barely drops to F, yet at 1/4 tank the light comes on
Frankzao
My lite comes on at abt 3mm BELOW the E line.....
