latinopikachu
i'm going to try to change the front plugs today. Middle cyl has oil pooling in it from th VCGs. Should I just yank the plug and let the oil drip down into the cyl? I don't want to break anything. it's probably about a tablespoon of oil, bad enough to make it misfire sometimes. Screw in those blue paper towels. Why would you dump it in when you can soak it?
ing-schu@online.no
I recommend fabric instead of paper. Ripped pieces of old towels is ideal and soaks up like 10 times more oil than paper, not least a lot faster. Old T-shirts or sweaters is good too. In fact I hate using paper during mechanical work. ///BHRpowered
I concur with xedos on this point. I'm not happy to think that someday, even in the next 5 years when I hit 60k that I may have to do VCG
Frankzao
what plugs are you going to use?
ing-schu@online.no
I am slightly disturbed by the fact BHR seems to agree with me in a majority of my latest posts
///BHRpowered
I concur with using a rag rather then a papertowel. Personally I also like to use some compressed air before pulling the plugs to get as much out as possible
enginph
I meant the towels they sell in auto stores, shop towels or something. They are sturdy. Cloth is better of course.
