mts
That is the kind I had from Trout, except the leads were black. Just take one of the leads and hook it to one side of the bulb wires and the second lead on the resistor to the other bulb wire. That clip is designed to spilce into the wire without cutting it. Ikstej24
New Problem. Now my temp and clock lights only stay on if I leave the parking lights or headlights on. If i don't they stay on for a second and then turn off. What is going on? Are the LED gauge lights throwing them off?
mts
You must have a loose or wire missing...
///BHRpowered
rsutton, check to make sure the dimmer switch was correctly reinstalled. it sounds alot to me like its set funny, so when the lights turn on the clock/temp switch, turn the dimmer up to high and see if it fixes anything
Ikstej24
I got the turns working correctly. I will post a video tonight when it gets dark. I will try to reinstall the dimmer and see if that helps. I just took everything out again to fix the 74 light, which is working now. It isn't exactly the same color for some reason but it will work. After reinstalling it all I still had the same problem but I didn't mess with the dimmer that much.

Ikstej24
Correct me if I am wrong...but the 3rd brake light uses 192's right? And does anyone know what is behind the clock and temp? I forgot to look while I had it apart.
///BHRpowered
the 3rd brake light uses 194 bulbs. also there is still something wrong with your gauges. the 3 194 light up everything except the temp, the #74 should be doing almost only the temp part, still something wrong Looks good otherwise wise, the red led coming on in a clear lense looks amazing
Ikstej24
The temp lights up now you just can't see that in the picture.
DoN_BLaZe34
i was under the impression that the 3rd brake light used a 921?
Ikstej24
i was under the impression that the 3rd brake light used a 921? See that is what I thought too...but I just ordered red 194's (I hope BHR is right...I should have checked first) Just checked......921's BHR where did you get 194 from?
///BHRpowered
the hell are you talking about, it takes 4 194 bulbs. and 194 fit in a 921 base, but 921 doesn't come as towers, so you would get the 194 anyway
Ikstej24
Mine only has 2 921's
///BHRpowered
interesting, I guess that changed it in 00 because I know mine, and atleast don's has multiply 194's
Ikstej24
Oh well....does anyone need 2 of the 194 5 LED in red?
mts
I will side with Don on this on... I have had them in my hand and replaced them
Synesthesia
replaced what, oh and actually I might need 2 red 194's leds, as long as there the 5 led matrix
Ikstej24
They are the 5 led matrix's. Another issue. I am now getting multiple beeps when turning the key to the on position and when turning the car off that were not there before the LED install. Sounds a lot like when you program the keyless entry remotes. So - the clock lights are not staying on unless you have at least the parking lights on and I am getting multiple beeps. Does anyone know what is causing this?
Synesthesia
beeps? you mean like when you leave the key in and the door is open? It certainly sounds like a loose or faulty connection
Ikstej24
Exactly like that but everything is closed. And it stops after 4 beeps I believe. I double checked all of the connections last night before I put it back together, and the dimmer works fine with the parking lights on. This one is driving me crazy...I hate electronics (unless is speaker systems - I am better at trouble shooting those.)
