mts
Seems cheap enough for a full set, but why slotted and cross drilled on a Mom driven land barge?
MazdaMomma
Cause mom likes to speed.....
mts
Most brake rotors only get used enough to wear.... cross-drilled and slotted will never get used properly unless racing... therefor only for looks. So if you have minimal holes in your rims... they are then a waste of money.
MazdaMomma
They will get used properly around here, trust me on that. Will take pics of the rims and post later on tonight.
mts
Are you lightening the car, boosting the engine and then putting it on the track?
mts
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/results.jsp...mp;autoModClar= Most people's driving habits are never hard enough to get brake fade from heat. Get some vented rotors and maybe some ceramic pads... as they put less brake dust all over the rims...
///BHRpowered
Do not get both, get x-drilled only. Search many posts on why
mts
She doesn't even need those, most do not.... other than for vanity's sake....
enginph
My friend (female) was about to burn front brakes of rental 06 chevy cobalt last week while we were cruising down a steep mountain. They noticed a burning smell in the car, I went to front brakes directly and they were really hot.. It has front disks and rear drums. My milly was ok as most of you expected. I took chevy and play with the gear selector to engine brake mostly. Vented fronts is a must esp. if the car has "soft" suspensions, i.e. most of the job was done by fronts. I read sometime that braking distribution varies between %60 fronts to %90 fronts depending on how shitty the suspension is.. Cross drilled rotors look good
mts
Depends on the Master Cylinder set up. Normal is 60-40.... but each company is different, and a cheap suspension will load the fron more too weightwise.
MazdaMomma
these are my rims, so they would not be for looks.
MazdaMomma
Well, have to get new tires. Also needed new brake pads. Rotors warped.
MazdaMomma
Momma like the way the new rotors look and stop...
ing-schu@online.no
Momma Gonzales I would choose stock discs and put my money in decent pads, but fair enough. Fading? I nearly failed to stop due to fading a couple of times, but I was young and unexperienced then...
