///BHRpowered
I hate to go againt SL, but bacon said he won't have any for months. I recently discovered the generation 4 towers today, 20 leds, in the 1157 tower design, but for 7440, 4 towers, 45 dollars, shipped claims 3x brighter then any other and had some pictures, we shall see

Troutman
Generation 4?
Troutman
Hey, I see Autolumination are now selling 3 x 1 watt high power 7443, similar to the 1156 bulbs MTS (pending) and myself have. Â Â In other high power LED news, I tried a high power white 194 in my boot light today and DAMN, it's very impressive.
///BHRpowered
indeed, I have had a white 5-led matrix in my trunk for some time, I greatly enjoy it  While those 3 led lights my be bright, they do not address the problem of beam spread. what I want is a tower, PLUS 3 led facing backwards to rid your lenses of that damn black hole effect.  oh, and the guy is "led_warehouse" on ebay, even says made in the usa
DoN_BLaZe34
guess we'll have to wait and see..
///BHRpowered
I'm rather excited, if they are indeed brighter then I will be set

Troutman
I must be missing something. All I see from the seller is 13-LED mini-towers advertised as world's brightest (?) and 18-LED 744x also advertised as world's brightest (?) and the usual dirty tricks like professing they are brighter than incandescent and charging more for shipping than the item itself... Â Â Let us know how it goes anyway.
mts
Trout digs in for the battle
///BHRpowered
the shipping did piss me off, however at 10 dollars a bulbs its still worth looking into. while being brighter does intrige me, the 18 led design would be the true tower as oppose to the 4 sided thing generally used for 744X bases. So either way I will get better beam spread
Troutman
Fair point, though I predict it will be equivalent to the 1156 Autolumination calls the 'Tower I' - 18-LED. I don't know of a 20-LED Tower II equivalent so it's probably the best thing you can get for the application right now...
mts
Enlightening
Hitman
indeed, the tower 2 is not yet out for many bulbs, although I have noticed 744x bases seem to be the last in development lines. the tower itself had been created nearly 18 months on the 115x bases before even being advertised for 744x

///BHRpowered
damn it, I really want that jeep tonight, I can barely wait. Â If I get it tonight within the hour I'm ordered a 2.5" lift kit 32" tires, brush guard, offroading lights, intake, borla exhaust, spark plugs, wires, slotted rotors (no x-drilling, I have my reasons) powder coat the calipers, and I know a guy form JF who wants to trade me for his older, more classy gauges, and his grill, it shall be amazing. Oh and I can't forget the transfer case skid plate and tow hooks
///BHRpowered
they are in and installed. I must say. I'm very impressed. Â first of all the true tower mounting, addition of 3 more leds, and all being more powerful makes a huge difference, when on high they are about 90% as bright as the STOCK bulbs, however compared to the old ones I had you truely tell a difference. Â the best part is that when on low they are actually dimmer then my old bulbs, but because of the design light up well, so thedifference between high and low has been increased, while increasing over all high. I'm very happy
Troutman
Good stuff, any comparative pics?
///BHRpowered
yes actually, keeping in mind my new camera is a higher resolution, it still sucks when trying ti photograph light, but I have them side by side so you can atleast tell which is brighter, now all I need is a damn MicroSD USB adaptor thing
DoN_BLaZe34
...so they're dimmer on low?? how does that impress u??
