Troutman
I concur with Don, it was confusing because the same S Class had LED brake lights, but not mirrors.
DoN_BLaZe34
indeed...also they're not 194's...they're some smaller sized bulb whose numbers i forget at the moment....i've gone back and forth over upgrading to the led ones...still undecided.. Jallan
I have just ordered (today) a pair of amber and a pair of red Velocity led's with the resistors. I shall report how it looks when I install them with my recently acquired 99-00 turns and tails. Â Â UPDATE: I have installed the V-LED's, and dare I say, the rear turns look as bright (if not brighter) than the halogen tails with the brakes applied. These sumbitches are BRIGHT
DoN_BLaZe34
this is most interesting...because my towers came nowhere close to being as bright..
mts
I have to get home and install the halogen brake bulbs also... damn travelling... first the sub now this...
DoN_BLaZe34
it pays the bills though so it's a needed evil
///BHRpowered
during night hours my turn towers came close, but there was a difference, what are these v-led's you speak of. Â DON!!!! Â I have most excellent news. I was browsing superlumination.com for these v-leds j speaks of and just out, 921 towers. 01-02 millenia tail lights owners can have led reverse lights as well

Jallan
I am curious as to wether these would work in the third brake light: Â Â Â
Troutman
Wow, never seen that before. Yes it would work if it is 194 or 921-based.
Jallan
I'm thinking it should work because all 1W of power would be facing out. It is indeed 194 based.
Troutman
Yes, the traditional problem has been wasted light heading upwards and rearwards. This could be a brilliant solution.

Troutman
Good work J, I await your report  BH, I think you are confused, the bulb you posted is clearly 5mm LEDs. However, there IS a high power model, see my latest post in the thread.  As for the Autolumination 9-LED flux 921, that's a tough call. Troutman
Glad to hear they are going well Don.  But it seems there is a whole range of new alternatives coming now. I just noticed this 194 high power tower, which would be yet another candidate
