mohamedeladawy@hotmail.com
i like to call it a downforce enhancer
ing-schu@online.no
A bit of a trivial interlude, the optional spoiler on the Lambo Countache actually made the car slower because of it's poor design. Actually it was necessary to stabilize the car in high speeds, because the poor aerodynamics of the Countach, in addition to producing loads of lift forces it also has the aerodynamics of a van give or take. A Volkswagen Transporter from the mid eighties has about the same air resistance coeffficient, albeit with vastly larger front area. As we all know, the product of those two figures gives the resulting air resistance. In general all designs producing downforce or reducing lift forces increases drag, I would be very surprised if the ugly Millenia item would work any different. Actually the bootlid has an integrated spoiler design, which I suppose reduces lift forces. The Millenia has not, after all these years, been beaten on drag coefficient in its class. Matched maybe, but not beaten. And I bet the extra spoiler slows down the Milly.
Renboy
My mistake, I'd never read up on it, just reiterated what a friend (who designs cars) told me...lying prick.
ChiTown
the 00 of yours would look great with an OEM spoiler, maybe add some LED's turn signal and tails nah, i dont want a spoiler, and i would never put parking sensors on my car just opening up the idea for debate. I dont park my new milly anywhere near other cars, the bumpers are mint and they are going to stay that way.... hint: the light is hurting my eyes!!! ///BHRpowered
when I first discovered millenia's I thought a spoiler would look horrible, but after getting the car and having it parked next to other millenia's it just seems to naked without it, its so beautiful crafted to follow the lines of the car
ChiTown
i think it looks good from all angles except when facing directly toward the rear of the car, i think it makes the trunk loose a sportier look somehow....?....hard to explain. I am shure it would be easy to get used to though.

ChiTown
it is i must edit my opinion: i just saw a 95-96 with a spoiler in the parking lot at the grocery store and it had a spoiler, i like it from the back, its from the side i dont like it. Renboy
its best look is looking down the down headon from just a slight angle WTF!?!?! You're going to have to explain that a little better. I have to disagree, wether it's lip, spoiler or big ass wright brothers wing, it should be left in the box and not even mounted. Clean is clean, my spoiler, badges, and lock cylinder are all coming off my trunk. And if I didn't live in Canada I'd get rid of the door handles too. But alas, standing outside with 30' of extension cord and a blow dryer in hopes of my doors opening does not tempt me. Might shave the lock cylinders on the door too though. ///BHRpowered
never really liked door poppers, and the idea of the battery dying doesn't appeal to much to me at that point either. I will try and take a pic to show what I mean ren
ing-schu@online.no
The intricate lines of my Xedos are never to be soiled with a stupid spoiler. In fact the Miata and latest RX7 are also vastly better looking without a spoiler, though the RX7 needs one for high speed stability. Or at least so I read somewhere. mohamedeladawy@hotmail.com
the jdm adjustable spoiler on the rx7 is beauty.
Renboy
All spoilers should be like the ones on Porsche's or the crossfire. Hidden when not NEEDED. X-man, I completely agree about the rx7...soooo sexy without the spoiler.
///BHRpowered
that would be a great idea, but I don't think mazda is going to spend that kind of cash
mohamedeladawy@hotmail.com
m3 lip spoiler is nice and discreet.
mts
You all now know my opinion and I will stick with it. HATE THEM. But each to their own... hey BHR if you want more down force.... prop your trunk open at a 45 degree angle... only then will you actually understand what is needed, since math is way beyond you. COSMETIC BITCH.
ing-schu@online.no
150 kg's worth of concrete in the trunk would be a more discrete option I am soon to tow home my winter season wood, that will also create some serious downforce on the Xedos rearend

///BHRpowered
there is a fine line mts, you don't need a big spoiler, the millenia oem spoiler follows the lines of the car brillantly, and if you've ever seen it up close, there is an excellent proper spoiler lip even on the spoiler, and you can tell a slight different, notice I said slight, difference at 120mph+ wihtout the car looks so incomplete. If nothing eles, if some ghetto rat is selling a millenia on ebay that is "FULLY LOADED" its not fully loaded unless you have the spoiler
mohamedeladawy@hotmail.com
meh. the millenia is not a car to be taken at that speeds anyway. even though, most of us here are guilty of doing this
