latinopikachu
Does anyone know the difference between a Eunos/Xedos vin and a millenia VIN?
MazdaMomma
why do you need to know that?
Graham
Yes, what dodgy or dastardly plans do you have? My Eunos 800 (2.5L) VIN is JM0 TA10L1 00100443 What's yours? Mine was sold to a Doctor from a Sydney beach suburb (ie: rich man) on April 13, 1994. G.
latinopikachu
i don't have any dastardly plans. All I wanted to see is what would carfax or vindicator would tell me about it, in addition to trying an online insurance quote to see if it recognises the VIN at all. very interesting VIN number, usually its JM1TA Graham, yours is maroon? :hmm: indeed, based on some other input, it seems that the eunos 800 vins only differ in the last 3-4 characters. MazdaMomma
never would have thought of that.
Graham
So what's the Jm1 vs JM0 mean? Right hand and left hand drive perhaps??? Yep mine's Maroon (see avatar) . So are there any other details that can be read from a VIN or is it all from a list on the sites/services you mentioned? G.

latinopikachu
but what about eunos vins
enginph
My year is X (1999) and serial number is more than million. Does that mean they produced more than a million? No way..
mts
but what about eunos vins If you were really reading and knew the cars as passionately as you say you do.... the first 8 digits should be all the same. As they only made these cars at one facility. The check digit, the year, and the actual serial will be different. Though the year digit is somewhat confusing... Saint, go to those sites I linked and put in your serial and see what comes up.

latinopikachu
I know. They won't validate anywhere, and it seems importing a eunos 800m would take a fuckload of money to "federalise" it, or get it imported

latinopikachu
yeah I know but the guy was insisting that they came with it and trying to tell me of all people, "oh yes the millenia was a big deal when it came out because of the miller cycle engine, mazda was going to have their own separe line," basically the amati story. and i told him "yes and it was to be called amati, but it never took place, i happen to have a collectin of literature no one has seen for years"
