Mce Gauges Installed...not As I Was Hoping For

Recommended Posts

muah hahahaha

so, I can't say for sure since I haven't driven it, but interesting results.

I was messing around and the digitals work by use of a magnetic field, and seem to calibrate I suppose each time the ignition is turned on

if there is no power the needles are free moving, but if you try to move the needle with power applied they more or less shoot back down to zero, so something is pulling them. I held the tach needle at zero then put key in, shot back up, removed needle, then with power applied and it at stop I reinserted needle.

Now if I lift it up with power applied it pulls itself back down to 0 (not as fast as speedo, but still) So it seems to be back to normal.

oh and btw, since I had everything out I decided to mess around and put some red led's behind it, damn bright.

....he hasn't prepped worth shit, he is the first illegal president we've ever had, 2 people have already died under his administration - a new record.

I do however enjoy how all the major things he was elected on - things mccain said he would do, things obama said he was totally against, things that bush of course did right, well gee, now he's supporting them.

the next 4 years (barring hopeful impeach and inprisiment) well truely show you dark days in american history.

I would not at all be surprised if within the next 15-20 years there was another civil war fought over democracy and socialism, People would forever know that obama was the one who put it into motion.

well, tach is still not working, I don't see a way of fixing so I'll have to buy another one, but I'm looking for ideas on how to transfer the faceplate without doing any damage

You would have to be very careful so it comes out looking good, but you could enlarge the center hole that goes around the needle just like how they come in glow gauges so all you have to do is slip it over the needle and put in the screws to hold it. If you did it cleanly enough I doubt you would ever be able to see it. I think you might also need to cut out a rectangle on the tach plate that would be underneath to get the "Miller Cycle Engine" to light up.
