cuto
Ok, I think most of my electronic devices were made in China, despiste their brand. 3 Years ago i bought a DVD recorder for my kid's room (thinking he would crash it in a blink) , it costed like 80 Bucks and is working like in the 1st day of use. Also: Ndrive, the only Portuguese Nav systems company are using a factory in China to assembly their products and nobody is questioning them about quality. What do you guys think about these: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/In-car-Entertainment-Devices Best thing that comes to mind: can have Tom Tom , Igo and a bunch of other GPS sofware. These are white line products but i have seen them with different brand names here in europe. Ppl seem to be pleased. I know thats not a Avic D3 or X-3...but they cost one third of those. Plz advice! P.S. (i love P.S.'s...) : this particular one is sold in france and spain with names like this one http://www.witson.com/view_pro.php?id=1137
///BHRpowered
we had a long thread on navigation before http://www.mazdaworld.net/forums/index.php...ic=2371&hl= the d3 is indeed quite excellent, but the next best thing I would do is a tomtom, not sure of the model, one with the larger flat screen as oppose to fat units. They can be had for about 180USD
ing-schu@online.no
I wouldn't be afraid to buy any product produced in China, AS LONG AS it is a renowned brand. My Yank origin Harman/Kardon cinema reciever (imagine; Denon-freak X-man fooled to buy a Yank product) was built in China and is a hefty piece of equipment. My brand new Infinity speakers are also built by Harman in... China. 80 kilos worth of punchy sound. And a mad wife; low WAF (Wife Approval Factor) on these towers  I'm not a fan of those portable satnavs unless I'd need it outside the car, I'd want to install some double DIN multitask piece like this Kenwood I'm abit concerned though; would my wife be pleased with 7 inches? cuto
I read that thread about GPS. Like Xedos, i dont love portable units BUT: i just saw the best of both worlds at a good price: Still has the possibilty of getting the Tom tom out as in another car, yet it integrates fully in car! http://www.eclipse-web.com/avn/avn2210poverviews.html What do u guys say? ///BHRpowered
here in the states there is a theft problem with them, the biggest ting is people with multiply cars buy one and then just switch as needed.

Yes. But this one seems nice: if u detach the tomtom u can use it anywhere ans when in place, the tom tom looks like it always has been a part of the unit. Costs around 700 Euros here. Troutman
I personally am much more of a fan of cellular phones with navigation; that way they are of use 24/7, and do include a suction cup for the windscreen et al.

enginph
Iphone 3g for $199. It has gps, 3rd generation connection speed, phone, and it is an mp3 player as expected. And lots of other shit. It is rumored that it might have a solar panel embedded on the screen.

And no more cracks, they will only sell with activation. Price is declared by Steve Jobs (apples owner) seen on the photo..

I agree, looking into buying a Nokia now. Either N78 or N82. The N82 has the best cam. Abit bulky but it has no flip or slide shit. And it goes in the usual cellphone holder on the dash, pretty neat. Plus theft is no risk because I always bring it with me. The satnav in the N82 is good, but it disturbs the headunit, being cd or radio
Troutman
There's also a new GPS slide phone called Samsung 560i which I have been keeping an eye on. But of course my current phone is still young so I will be patient.
///BHRpowered
phone by navigation annoys me, doesn't work great when at speed, not to mention it allows people to track your movements, there are even rumors of gps signals being logged to track people's movement, hence why if you wish to go out and commit acts of justice against hte nonmales you simply have someone else drive your gps car that day. mts
You think you cannot be tracked by your cell signal now?

///BHRpowered
mts is correct, you can, which is why whenever I need to inflick justice I leave mine on, I may even call it sometimes from payphones.
