You went cheap ebay didn't you? otherwise they wouldn't offer 4000 and 4500, but 4300k. I returned the super crappy ebay kit and bought this: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Apexcone-Raptor-HID-Kit Went with 5000K. Dont know about longevity but its easy to tell the quality difference just by holding the kit. You can even pickup, they are in huntington beach (just order in advance, they dont stock).
